Two Doors Down
Two Doors Down follows husband and wife Beth and Eric Baird as they navigate their often intrusive neighbours while trying to enjoy some peace and quiet. The show stars Alex Norton, Arabella Weir, Jonathan Watson, Doon Mackichan, Elaine C. Smith, Jamie Quinn, Kieran Hodgson, Graeme ‘Grado’ Stevely and Joy McAvoy. The exterior shots were filmed in Avonbrae Crescent in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. The show is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
Tetris (Film)
Tetris is a 2023 biographical thriller film based on true events around the race to license and patent the video game Tetris from Russia in the late 1980s during the Cold War. It was directed by Jon S. Baird and written by Noah Pink. The film stars Taron Egerton, Nikita Efremov, Sofia Lebedeva, and Anthony Boyle. The first location that you see in the Hollywood production is in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. The South Lanarkshire Council building was used for shooting at the start of the film and doubled as the Mirror Group newspaper headquarters. You can watch the film on Apple TV.
